Our Story

Dance Laois was created to give dance a true home in the heart of County Laois — a place where artists, young people, and the community come together through movement. Emerging from the work of Laois Dance Academy, Laois Youth Dance Ensemble, Ohr Dance Company, and Laois Dance Platform, the hub brings all strands of dance activity under one roof. Our big idea is to make dance visible, accessible, and celebrated — connecting local creativity with national and international artistic practice.

Dance Laois is more than a venue — it’s a vibrant, welcoming community where creativity, movement, and collaboration come alive. Our space is warm, accessible, and inspiring, inviting dancers of all ages and levels to explore, create, and perform.
